// mcp::ctf Competition rules Read carefully before competing. Violations may result in disqualification. When in doubt, ask an organizer.
01
Individual competition This CTF is an individual competition. Each participant registers and competes under their own account. Team accounts are not permitted.
02
One account per participant Creating multiple accounts to gain an advantage is prohibited and will result in all associated accounts being banned.
03
Eligibility The competition is open to all registered participants. Organizers are not eligible to compete.
04
No flag sharing zero tolerance Sharing flags with other participants is strictly prohibited. This CTF uses static flags — sharing them is detectable and will result in immediate disqualification of all involved parties. Compete on your own merits.
05
No hint trading Exchanging hints, partial solutions, or meaningful technical guidance with other participants during the competition window is not allowed.
06
No public posting during the event Do not post flags, solutions, or spoilers in any public forum, chat, or social media while the competition is live.
07
Scope: challenge environments only Only challenge-scoped environments are in scope. Do not attempt to attack, probe, or interfere with the CTFd platform itself, the scoring system, other participants' machines, or any infrastructure outside the designated challenge.
08
No automated scanning or brute force zero tolerance Automated scanners, port sweeps, brute-force tools, and denial-of-service attacks against any infrastructure — including challenge instances — are strictly prohibited. Challenges are designed to be solvable without them.
09
Do not disrupt other participants Actions that intentionally degrade the experience of other competitors — such as crashing shared services, polluting state, or interfering with their challenge instances — will result in disqualification.
10
Dynamic scoring Challenge point values decrease as more participants solve them. Solve early to maximize your score. Final standings are determined by total points, with submission time as the tiebreaker.
11
First blood bonus bonus The first participant to solve a challenge receives a first-blood bonus on top of the challenge's base points.
12
Scores are final at close The scoreboard freezes at the competition end time. Submissions after the deadline will not be counted. No exceptions.
13
Writeups allowed after the event ends You are encouraged to publish writeups, blog posts, and solution walkthroughs — but only after the competition has officially closed. Publishing solutions while the event is live is a violation of the flag integrity rules above.
14
Credit the organizers If you publish a writeup, please credit MCP::CTF and DeepTrustxAI. A link back to the competition page is appreciated.
15
Respectful participation Harassment, hate speech, or abusive behaviour directed at other participants or organizers will not be tolerated and will result in immediate removal from the competition.
16
Organizer decisions are final Organizers reserve the right to disqualify participants, adjust scoring, or modify rules at any time. All decisions made by the organizing team are final.
// spirit of the competition MCP::CTF is designed to be a learning experience. The goal is to sharpen your skills, explore new techniques, and demonstrate genuine understanding. Gaming the scoring system or taking shortcuts that bypass the intended challenge undermines that goal — for yourself and everyone else.
